Her intoxicating beauty,
The greed to hold her close.
Her aroma and her fumes,
Drawing you outdoors.
That enlightening experience
That sigh which you exhale
That fire of passion
Her allure making you pale.
Feeling winded from inside,
Making the thoughts to twirl
That aimless stare at her,
And charring of your curl.
Is she a witch...
Or a magician...
Or is it a phoenix...
Rising again from it's ash...
Or just something you renew
To escape the worldly lash!

okkk....If it is something that we have renewed to escape the worldly lash..then with the description above..i take it as "Mother Nature"....who definitely has an intoxicating beauty and whose allure makes you pale....
truly thought provoking..ur posts/verses appear as a riddle to me and till i get an answer to it...i keep coming back...
and most interestingly what i noted here is a "Contradicting" feel....the way "it" has been portrayed as a 'desired destructor/devastator' and in the very next paragraph the description is like some one is at awe, not for her overpowering capabilities but for something which the onlooker yearn for... as in its because of the way the onlooker take her and not how "it" is in itself. like you know.."I" have the power to make you what "I" want you to be" kind of a thing.
i dnt know if that is making sense...but this is the way i take it...and as it is, again i'm happy about it... :)

Pooh, i might be biased about my interpretations due to two reasons:
1) i am reading the "twilight" series and watching reruns of Angel and Buffy constantly.. its so Vampire-ish for me.. love it love it love it!!!
2) i am reading a lot about Depiction of Goddesses in my Gender studies class... love it love it! :)
